Confidence fits
in the overhead.
At the gate, the cat behaves like a frequent flyer with absolutely no evidence to support that impression. The boarding pass is upside down. The pouch is mostly empty. None of this interferes with the walk: a small, determined procession toward the one seat with the best view.
There is no dramatic escape. No chase through the terminal. Just a passenger who has mistaken a financial phrase for a perfectly good travel recommendation and is now too far down the boarding bridge to reconsider.
